This past weekend I met up with Connie and Scott at the Million Dollar Theater in LA.  I love going to the movie palaces area because of the historic buildings.  Connie and Scott were a lot of fun to shoot with.  Thanks, guys, for coming out!

Thanks to Ken's suggestion and his help, we went into the theater for a mini tour and some cool shots.

I love capturing the "feel" and the mood.  Sometimes you don't need to see a person's expression and you can still feel it.

I like photographing the "Getting Ready" part because that's when I can spend time with the bride and her family, let them get comfortable around my camera.

I have been very busy with some of my personal projects, but I'll soon be back to do some serious blogging.  In the meantime, I want to share two photos I took at Melrose Place with you.

Although I'm a wedding photographer, but I often look elsewhere for inspirations.  Currently, I am in love by Saul Leiter's personal work, which you can find in the book Saul Leiter Early Color.

The book I recently purchased and can't stop flipping through pages after pages is Vanity Fair: The Portraits.

The new book, avaialble tomorrow, that I am excited about is Annie Leibovitz At Work.

I am so so SO happy for Anna's 5th wedding anniversary with Jose. They are the sweetest couple and they are my good friends. I am most thankful to have met Anna because she's the person who found my very first client and I owe her FOREVER!

We spent the late afternoon at the Union Station in Downtown, LA.  I love how Anna dressed up to match the feel of the Union Station.

As soon as the sun was setting (I love shooting during sunset time) we stepped outside for more.

When we finished shooting at the Union Station the lighting was still perfect, so we headed to the graffitti area.

Months ago I saw the little "Love Me" on the wall at one of the nearby building, so we ended our session there.

Weeks ago I drove out to Palm Springs to shoot an awesome wedding alongside Jennifer Rau!  Ceremony was held at St. Margarets, portraits were done at the super cool Viceroy and reception was at the beautiful Cree Estate.  Thanks to Jen for the experience and thanks to Tiffany Cannis for the coordination!
