Got a chance to visit The Annenberg Space for Photography yesterday.  What's more exciting is that the photos were taken by my iPhone!  I used the OldCamera app for the black and white conversion, which every iPhone user must get!

Was editing some photos for a LA band and I am totally in love with this.

Michelle and Paul, if you recall from their super cute engagement photos, are two very fun and loving people.  It's no wonder their wedding party is just as fun with people that kept me laughing all day.  Their wedding was held at the very stylish Seven Degrees, located in Laguna Beach.  This blog post took me much longer to prepare because there were so many details I wanted to include and I was having a tough time picking and choosing.  At last, here it is...

I love spending time with the bride and her bridal party when they are getting ready because that's when I can connect with the wedding party.

Walked around the house and found a wedding magazine, my first instinct was to get the shoes!

First look...

I love this.  The girls were really into Michelle's veil, a very girlie thing to do.  And the guys... stood there, all smiles.  :)

We sneaked to the venue next door and found this gorgeous arch and hallway.  It was perfect because it blocked off the harsh sunlight at the moment and we got these beautiful portraits.

Back to Seven Degrees.  I love these kind of "unexpected" shots.

If you've seen Alana and Anthony's bridal/engagement photos, then you'll remember this lovely couple.  Their wedding was a true "East Meets West" with Chinese traditions, as well as Western ones.

The weather that day couldn't be more beautiful.  I first met up with Alana early in the morning while she was getting ready.  Kelly Zhang did a wonderful job with the makeup!

Mother of the bride.  She happened to stand next to the mirror, which created a nice background, so I quickly took a shot.

Being a Chinese myself, this is actually the first time witnessing a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony.  There were games to challenge the groom and his party in order for him to pick up the bride, then there was tea ceremony. 

After much fun, we headed to Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas for their Catholic ceremony.

The reception was held at a Chinese restaurant, but Alana decided to create a Western atmosphere.  I think she did an amazing job and she has potential to be a wedding planner!

Alana and Anthony, thank you for having me be part of your very special day!  And I am so fortunate to have gained two wonderful friends!

Last November, I invited some friends to have dinner at the newly opened Animal Restaurant and we all had a blast.  After that, I kept in touch with the restaurant and I stopped by to do a shoot for them few months later.  Thanks to the two amazing chefs, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, one of my photos has made it to Food & Wine magazine!
