Few months ago, Jonathan Canlas told me he'd start offering 1-on-1 Workshop.  Without hesitation, I signed up immediately, which I'm glad I did.  Jonathan was opened to all sorts of questions, from branding to business tax he answered them all.  One of the best parts of this experience was that I got to "tag along" to one of his weddings.  It was such a treat to watch how he worked, I really learned a lot from it.  If you are interested to learn more about his workshop, go to Jonathan Canlas Workshop.  I highly recommend it!

Now onto the photos...  I didn't really shoot a lot as I felt like I was "invading" Jonathan's gig.  Plus, I didn't want to confuse his clients, so I tried not to be too close.  The good thing about that was I basically just shot what caught my eyes, which is always my favorite way of shooting.  Oh, be sure to check out Jonathan's version, which was captured beautifully, as always.

One last note, the beautiful wedding that you're about to see was created by Amorology Weddings.  Heather Balliet, the wedding designer and coordinator, and her team did an amazing job.  Thanks for making the event ran so smoothly!

Back in late May I was very fortunate to be invited to shoot a wedding in Kona-Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.  Let me say that I am officially hooked because of the gorgeous lighting there, even in the middle of the day!  The wedding was held at the Four Seasons Resort, such a beautiful place.  If you want a Hawaii wedding, that's the place to go.  *Special thanks to Jennifer Gillis, the coordinator, for running everything smoothly!*

The wedding day started off with the girls getting ready at the hotel spa.

Then I met up with the guys for some group portraits.  These guys were a lot of fun, I didn't stop laughing throughout the shoot!

Back to the bridal suite for more getting ready shots...

Brenda's gown was perfect for this Hawaii wedding - light and flowy.

Ceremony was held by the beach.  Weather was perfect with the sound of ocean waves on the background, it's definitely a different experience.

Michelle and Paul, if you recall from their super cute engagement photos, are two very fun and loving people.  It's no wonder their wedding party is just as fun with people that kept me laughing all day.  Their wedding was held at the very stylish Seven Degrees, located in Laguna Beach.  This blog post took me much longer to prepare because there were so many details I wanted to include and I was having a tough time picking and choosing.  At last, here it is...

I love spending time with the bride and her bridal party when they are getting ready because that's when I can connect with the wedding party.

Walked around the house and found a wedding magazine, my first instinct was to get the shoes!

First look...

I love this.  The girls were really into Michelle's veil, a very girlie thing to do.  And the guys... stood there, all smiles.  :)

We sneaked to the venue next door and found this gorgeous arch and hallway.  It was perfect because it blocked off the harsh sunlight at the moment and we got these beautiful portraits.

Back to Seven Degrees.  I love these kind of "unexpected" shots.
